Cicada x Tech23 lands at ARM Hub

FOUNDERS TAKE THE FLOOR...

ARM Hub was delighted to co-host the Cicada x Tech23 QLD Founder Summit with Cicada Innovations at our Northgate headquarters this week, welcoming some of Queensland's most promising deep tech founders for an afternoon built around one simple idea: no panels, no presentations, just honest conversation between people who understand the work.

Thirty-five founders rolled up their sleeves for the working session, digging into the real blockers and breakthroughs of building deep tech in Australia, challenging assumptions, and making the most of the brains in the room. By the time the doors opened for networking, the crowd had swelled to 70 as ecosystem partners and leaders joined the conversation.

ARM Hub Executive Manager Allison Bambrick opened proceedings, welcoming Cicada CEO Liza Noonan, with Kate Hines steering the afternoon as facilitator and Grant Woollet from QLD’s Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation adding government perspective.

It was great to see companies like ProxGrid and Burl Aerospace in the mix, alongside Tech23 cohort member and ARM Hub tenant Stratoship, proof that the deep tech community and the ARM Hub floor are increasingly one and the same.

”One of ARM Hub's most important roles is bringing innovators together,” said Allison Bambrick. “It was fantastic to host Cicada in our industrial environment and see the energy in the shed as founders, researchers, industry, government and investors gathered, all focused on how we can work together to create Australia's next generation of success stories.”
